We’re 3 days into 2017 and would be remiss if we didn’t recap our favorite content from 2016. When we started the blog in 2o15, we wanted to bring you all truthful, vulnerable and meaningful content from, about and for single women. We sincerely wanted you to know that despite what your family, co-workers, married friends and even you might think about single life — Happily Ever After Begins Now.
We know you take pride in your job and love what you do or you might in the process of trying to figure it out, so we suggested the best books to Get Your Career On!. If you need to leave your job and freelance we gave you some tips so you’ll still be working toward financial abundance.
We explored why your most important relationship is with yourself ad self-care is a must which includes for some of us a healthy sexual relationship. And, why we don’t need a romance novel hero to gallop in on a white horse to save us.
We acknowledged that being single can be hard, and that it’s great to have someone step in and have your back during an all to familiar incident of street harassment. Inspiration popped up in unexpected places with guest contributors who thanked a bad-ass ex mother-in-law for helping her find her swagger, to a divorced single mother of 2 who found love again after a cheating husband and the awesome PANK who created Auntie’s Day for all of us who mother kids that “technically” aren’t ours.
Overall, 2016 was a beautiful, blessed year of growth for The Spinsters Union, and we look forward to providing you with more heartfelt and helpful content in 2017. We want to hear from you! What would you like us to talk about this year?! Tell us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
