This app provides guided meditation tailored to your emotions. Here’s how it works: you do a check-in on you’re doing emotionally and physically before you meditate. You choose five emotions and the app suggests three meditations based on your emotions. Meditations range in length from four minutes to 20 minutes or more. After you’ve completed the meditation, you check-in again. This app is free but includes additional meditations for purchase. Calm is chock full of features and is a great app for beginners. It allows you the choice to meditate with a variety of relaxing music or nature sounds and even gives you the choice of calming images of nature to focus on during your meditation. It starts with a seven-day introduction to meditation and then gives you the option of doing a 21-day subscription plan. It also offers a seven-day meditation plan for those who have trouble sleeping. Calm will give you the peace you’re seeking. The app is available for iPhones or Androids and on the web. the seven-day programs are free.
Featuring a series of introductory meditations and videos, this app is good for beginners and for those who want to learn more about meditation. In level one, the meditations are ten minutes long and build upon one another to help you get into the practice of daily meditation. After level one, you can choose a subscription and dive into a variety of meditations ranging from those to enhance your focus, performance or creativity, to name a few areas. This app is free and then offers a subscription plan. It’s available for iPhones or Android.
Omvana provides meditation tracks to suit your needs. Need some help getting sleep? They’ve got you covered. Need more enlightenment in your life? Yep, they’ve got a track for that. What about more positivity? Omavana will suggest several tracks to help turn that frown upside down. When you sign up, you get 25 tracks for free and you can buy more. They offer a range of focus areas to enhance specific areas of your life It’s available for iPhones and Androids and on the web.
Sometimes in the middle of the day, in the middle of all your problems and stress, you need to take a break. We, as women, often feel guilty taking time for ourselves, but Take a Break! gives you the permission you need to focus on self-care. This app is one of several from Meditation Oasis. It allows you to choose from short or long meditations, with or without music. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of other meditation apps, but that’s the best thing about it, sometimes having too many choices is stressful. It’s free and available for iPhones and Androids.
